  • CCHP (combined cooling, heat and power) power plant was put into commercial operation. This plant consists of 14 Capstone C65 microturbines and provides cooling, heat and electricity for the largest repair and warehouse complex of Liebherr-Russland in Russia.
  • The first in the world Capstone C1000-based power plant utilizing associated gas was launched at the Eastern-Sotchemyu-Talyu oilfield for Pechorheftegaz. This plant is capable of annual utilization of 5.7 million cubic meters of associated gas with methane contents of 27% and H2S – of up to 1.2%

2010

  • Commissioned the first phase of the power station of the Basalt materials Plant in Yakutia. This included 4 Capstone C1000 microturbines, the largest installation ever. In this project Capstone used a two-level layout of microturbines for the first time in the world.
  • Commenced implementation of a national cashless settlement system using plastic cards the Republic of Abkhazia.
  • First US win achieved for the implementation of an in house card management system for EFX Corp.
  • Incorporated BPC Asia-Pacific cementing the development of BPC's presence on Asia Pacific.
  • Implementation of Western Union money transfers via the Banca Transilvania (Romania) ATM network
  • BPC Banking Technologies achieved first in country wins in no less than six countries. Year on year revenue growth reached 39% for 2010
  • Official representation of BPC in Minsk was established; it became a full-fledged provider of efficient microturbine-based power solutions in the Republic of Belarus.
  • Project on power supply at Rodnikovskoye oilfield for Orenburgneft was completed. New 7.2MW power plant consists of 4 OPRA gas turbine units and allows utilizing of up to 95% of associated gas produced at the oilfield.

2009

  • Participated in the project to build Russia's first environmentally-friendly passenger bus based on a Capstone С65 microturbine.
  • Built manufacturing facilities for production and service maintenance of power center units on the basis of Capstone microturbines.
  • Commenced the construction of the largest BPC power station on the basis of 8 OPRA gas turbines operating on associated gas – at the West-Malobalyksky oil field. Total electrical output is 16 Mt, which uses about 50 million cubic meters of associated petroleum gas per year.
  • Completed the project to build a complete processing center for Banca Transilvania, one of Rumania's largest banks.
  • Incorporated BPC USA offering SmartVista solutions to the US market.
  • Entering Latin American market. Implementation of a fully functional processing center based on SmartVista products in Atlantida bank (Honduras), a leader in the sphere of retail financial services in the region.

2008

  • Installation of 22 microturbines Capstone C30 for Far Eastern Generating Company. The power plant supplies electricity to more than 200 km of linear part of gas pipeline near city Nikolaevsk-na-Amure.
  • Installation of a stand-alone power plant utilising wellhead gas at Rodnikovskoe oil field for TNK-BP.
  • Exclusive distributorship contract signed with Songwon Int. (Sweden), one of the leading providers of antioxidants for polypropylene and polyethylene production.
  • BPC's further expansion into the international market: implementation of SmartVista™ at Vietnamese DongA Bank, Diners Club franchises in New Zealand, Vela ATM in the Republic of South Africa, Armenian national processing company ArCa, Alp Jamol Bank in Uzbekistan, in Central Bank of Turkmenistan, and other international projects.
  • SmartVista™ implementation as a core of the Customs Payment System – a Russian national payment system established to ensure efficient management and control of customs payments. Creation of a modern automated payment mechanism for customs fees and duties payment with the use of EMV payment cards
  • Start of a large scale project on modernisation of the IT infrastructure of the largest Asian processing and settlement company NETS (Singapore). The project will allow NETS to offer its customers innovative services based on the prepaid accounts and to automate the accounting operations through the implementation of SmartVista™ based Billing system.
  • SmartVista™ rated the highest possible rating - Strong Positive – in Gartner Marketscope for Multiregional Card Management Solutions among the products offered by other industry leaders.

2007

  • Commissioning of a power plant based on OPRA turbines with total output 14MW for on-site power generation at Yuzhno-Russkoe gas field for Severneftegazprom.
  • Construction of cogeneration (CHP) plant for power and heat supply for an office and shopping center in Ukhta city.
  • Start of collaboration with the company ICL IP (Israel), the global leader in special additives, on supply of flame retardants to the Russian market.
  • Implementation of SmartVista™ in CardStandard, one of the largest Russian processing centers, part of CFT Group. SmartVista™ provided CardStandard with a reliable platform to increase the number of its customers and enhance the quality of services.

2007-2006 — Strengthening BPC's positions in Ukraine. Implementation of SmartVista™ in Bank Khreschatik, Credit-Dnepr, Bank Credobank (PKO BP Group), Energobank. Entry of BPC's solutions into Ukrainian non-banking market with the projects in Mobile Payments Service Centre, Ukrsmart payment system.

2006

  • Installation of power supply facilities operating in trigeneration mode (combined cooling, heating and power) for the office building owned by the "Apteki 36,6" Company, Moscow.
  • First projects in the field of petrochemistry, oil refining and gas processing. The supply of innovative technology solutions for amine and glycol cleaning.
  • Launch of a joint initiative with IBM aimed at bringing to international markets a new high performance fault-tolerant solution for payments processing – SmartVista i.
  • Set up of a stand-alone heat and power generation station for the mountain ski resort in Krasnaya Polyana, Sochi.

2005

  • Conclusion of a contract for the installation of OPRA turbines at the construction site within the framework of the Moscow-City Business Centre project, Moscow, Russia.
  • The largest installation of Capstone microturbines in Russia. Building of a power generation station based on 30 microturbines for "Igora" ski country resort, St. Petersburg region.
  • Partnership with Cristal Company (Saudi Arabia), the world's second largest manufacturer of titanium dioxide, resulted in an exclusive distributor contract awarded to BPC Chemical Technologies Company.

2004

  • Signing of a contract with LUKoil for the installation of a power generation set based on OPRA gas turbines at the oil field in Naryan Mar, Russia. The turbines utilise wellhead gas.
  • First sales of SmartVista™ in Ukraine: a project for the retail business infrastructure creation for UkrSibbank BNP Paribas Group, Kiev. The company BPC-Ukraine established to better meet the needs of the Ukrainian customers and to enhance SmartVista™ promotion in the region.

2003

  • First annual conference of the banks using SmartVista™ products - SmartVista User Group held in Paris in November 2003.
  • Alfa-Bank's new retail business project, Alfa Bank Express, realised jointly with McKinsey and Accenture. The project was aimed at the integration of various delivery channels and implementation of innovation self-service technologies to enhance retail banking services.
  • Commencement of SmartVista's promotion at the global financial market. The contract for the supply of SmartVista™ based payment processing solution signed with Security Bank Corporation, one of the largest banks in the Philippines.
  • Our representative offices set in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
  • First sales of microturbines in Russia. The launch of a power station based on Capstone microturbines for Uralsvyazinform Company in Khanty Mansiysk, Russia.
  • Entry into the market of low-power gas turbine engines. A distributor contract signed with OPRA, the Netherlands.

2002

  • BPC Power Systems Company established. Exclusive agreements signed with Capstone, USA, a world industry leader in microturbine manufacturing.
  • BPC Chemical Technologies Company established. Exclusive agreements signed with Great Lakes Chemical Corporation, USA, for supply of polymer additives. The first contracts concluded with major domestic plastics producers.

2001

  • Entry into the first international contract with ING Bank Eurasia, an affiliate of the ING Group, the Netherlands, for the creation of a processing centre.
  • Start of SmartVista™ implementation at Kazakh Railways, the national railway company of Kazakhstan. SmartVista™ is used as a core of the end-to-end e-business infrastructure to support ordering and settlement for both freight and passenger transport on national railroads with the use of smart cards.

2000 — Launch of SmartVista™ - BPC's own world-class product for payment card processing and retail banking. The product registered in the Russian Federation and the United States of America.

1999 — Start of a large-scale project for the modernisation of Alfa-Bank's processing centre. Implementation of customer contact centre, e-commerce and corporate e-business systems based on the SET (Security Electronic Transaction) technology.

1998 — BPC Leasing Company created to provide cost-effective lease finance solutions for complex technology projects.

1997 — Launch of a large-scale project for the modernisation of Gazprombank's retail banking business, including the central and regional processing centres, self-service outlets and the supply and support for the bank's ATMs.

1996 — Contract award to the company: the international tender for setting up the Savings Bank of Russia's processing centre, now the largest in the country.

1995 — BPC Company established.
